About Zimbabwe Prisons And Correctional Service

ZPCS as a major stakeholder in the justice delivery system whose functions are provided for under the Constitution of Zimbabwe Amendment (No. 20) of 2013 section 227. The department is commanded by the Commissioner General of Prisons, Rtd Major General Paradzayi Willings Zimondi whose powers are enshrined under section 229 of the Constitution of the Republic of Zimbabwe. The Commissioner-General is deputised by four Deputy Commissioner Generals responsible for the following portfolios; Human Resources (Deputy Commissioner --General Fadzai Mupure), Audit and Inspectorate (Deputy Commissioner General Agrey Huggins Machingauta) and Correctional Services (Deputy Commissioner-General Moses Chihobvu) Deputy Commissioner-General Administration.
