The Zimbabwe Music Rights Association (ZIMURA) is an Association of composers and publishers of music established to protect certain rights of author members granted to them under the Copyright Law. It was incorporated in terms of Section 22 of the Companies Act (CAP190). ZIMURA was registered by the Registrar of Companies on 30 March 1982. As a collective administrator of copyright, ZIMURA has a membership of more than 3400 rights holders and over 250 000 works have been registered for protection. ZIMURA is limited by guarantee, has no share capital, is Non Profit Making and pays no dividends.
