The acronym TSURO stands for Towards Sustainable Use of Resources Organization. We are a community-based organization in Chimanimani Zimbabwe that focuses on empowering rural communities to engage in sustainable and profitable agriculture based on proper natural resource management. TSURO is a private voluntary organization registered as a Trust. It was founded to support community-level efforts directed at sustainable development. TSURO Trust has worked very closely with the TSURO DzeChimanimani Association, an association of smallholder farmers with close to 20,000 farmer households. The Association was formed in 1999 out of a need to replicate ecological land use management throughout the district, having learnt from the work of CELUCT, Natural Farming Network and the Participatory Ecological Land Use Management (PELUM). The organization focuses on promoting Sustainable agriculture and natural resources management, Public Environmental Health and Economic Strengthening.
