About Takura Trust

Takura Trust is a farmer-owned organisation that was set up in 2022 by TechnoServe (TNS), an international non-governmental organisation that is implementing the Anglo Takura Agricultural Value Chains development program in Shurugwi since October 2019, as part of Unki Mine’s Social Economic Development program. The program has integrated 600 smallholder farmers into market-driven horticulture, poultry and beef value chains. TechnoServe facilitated the establishment of a Trust, Takura Trust. Takura Trust will be strengthened to take over the role which TechnoServe is currently playing. This is part of our strategy to develop innovative approaches and build relationships with both corporate and public partners to enable more smallholder households to achieve livelihood security.
Takura Trust’s main functions include; Managing the packhouse; National, regional and international markets interface and demand planning; Coordinating planting programs in response to market demand; Agronomy
