About Silveira House Jesuit Social Justice and Development Centre

Silveira House Jesuit Social Justice and Development Centre was founded by Father John Dove in 1964. The institution exists to help people realise their own capabilities and to take advantage of available opportunities to actively participate in the growth and development of Zimbabwe, both at local and national levels.

Our Programmes fall under four thematic areas: Community Development, Socio-Economic and Analysis, Technical and Vocational Skills Training, and Advocacy and Peace Building.
