The college trains secondary school teachers in both academic and technical subjects and has a capacity to enrol over two thousand students. It has a professional establishment of 273 that is 157 lecturing staff and 116 support staff.
The college has four non-technical departments, viz; Humanities (Geography, Commercial Studies), Natural Sciences (Mathematics, Science and Physical Education and Sport), Education (Theory of Education and Teaching Practice) and Professional and Contemporary Studies (National Strategic Studies, Professional Studies and Health Education). It has also a Technical and Vocational Department with the following sections: Technical Graphics, Wood Technology, Agriculture, Mechanical Engineering, Tourism and Hospitality Management, Clothing and Textile Technology, Information Technology, Building Technology and, Art and Design.
