Achieve budgeted monthly and annual workshop targets that include workshop throughput and workshop labour hours.
Achieve agreed financial targets for the workshop through the effective management of the resources, whilst maintaining excellent customer service.
Ensure all vehicles are allocated, worked on within the expected time, tested, quality controlled, invoiced and receipted before release to customers.
Reduces turnaround time for customers.
Should be able to command productivity and efficiency in workshops.
Conduct customer visits and maintain regular contact with customers to ensure that they are provided with all necessary technical support and service.
Monitors feedback from customers to measure their satisfaction with company service and products.
Ensures that all customers’ queries are resolved expeditiously, and grumbles resolved in line with policy.
Managing the workshop operation, expenditure budget.
Lead, plan, train and review the work of mechanical staff responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, maintaining and repairing mechanical defects in vehicles and related equipment.
Ensure service of vehicles according to dealers’ specifications and standards.
Report daily on pending jobs with reasons for pending and actions taken.
Ensuring that safety regulations are strictly observed
Ensure sufficient tools for jobs are at hand and that these tools are kept safely maintained and making sure workshop areas and yards are kept in a clean and orderly manner.
Responsible for all plant and equipment within workshop areas ensuring they are regularly serviced and maintained.
Completing job cards and warranty claims.
Apprentice trained Class 1 journeyman motor Mechanic /Auto Electrician.
Must be well versed with latest vehicle Diagnostic equipment.
Must be computer literate and familiar with Automotive DMS.
Toyota apprenticed trained journeyman as an added advantage.
Able to instruct work on Tractors, yellow machines and Buses as an added advantage.
Clean Class 4 driver licence a must.
Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as a technician.
In-depth knowledge of vehicle systems (electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, etc) repair procedures.
Strong attention to detail.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Honest and reliable.
Knowledgeable on OEM Dealership Basic Workshop SOPs.
