Job Description

The Workshop Administrator will provide administrative support and ensure efficient and organized daily operations. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication, organizational and time management skills, as well as a keen attention to detail.

Responsibilities include scheduling appointments, managing customer inquiries, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with the preparation of reports and invoices. The Workshop Administrator will also support the Workshop Manager with administrative tasks and assist with the ordering of supplies and parts.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in an administrative role, be highly organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively. Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment are essential. A university degree is required, and relevant experience in the automotive industry is a plus.

Duties and Responsibilities

-Oversee the daily operations of the workshop
-Manage a team of technicians and mechanics
-Ensure proper use of equipment and tools in the workshop
-Maintain accurate inventory of parts and supplies
-Implement and enforce safety procedures and regulations
-Schedule and prioritize repairs, maintenance and service requests
-Develop and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers and insurance companies
-Monitor the quality of work performed by technicians and mechanics
-Prepare and manage workshop budget, track expenses and control costs
-Continuously assess and improve workshop processes and procedures

Qualifications and Experience

-Proven experience as an administrator in the panel beating industry is a plus
-Strong leadership and management skills
-In-depth knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance procedures
-Ability to use various diagnostic tools and equipment
-Ability to communicate effectively with customers, technicians, and insurance adjusters
-Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
-Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
-Strong attention to detail and quality control
-Technical certificate or diploma in automotive technology or a related field is preferred
