Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced personnel to fill in the following positions which have arisen at Rusape Town Council.
WORKS MANAGER - Grade 4
The Works Manager shall be reporting to the Town Engineer.
Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Managing and supervising the construction and maintenance of civil, electrical and mechanical works within Council including the automotive workshop.
• Preparing and/or approving engineering designs and specifications related to civil, electrical and mechanical works
• In charge of water, wastewater, roads and storm water drainage activities including public lighting.
• Preparation and control of budget for the Engineering Services Department
• Supervision of staff
Qualifications and Experience
Qualifications and experience:
Applicants must have the following qualifications and experience.
• A degree in Civil Engineering from a reputable University
• A Master of Science degree in Water/Engineering/Project Management or a post-graduate diploma in Water Supply and Sanitation is an added advantage
• At least 3 years post qualification experience in Engineering
• Registered with the Engineering Council of Zimbabwe (ECZ)
• Clean class 4 drivers licence
