Cure children hospital of Zimbabwe is looking for a Ward Pastor X 1
1.0 PASTORAL CARE
a) Providing pastoral care services to patients in various situations such as undergoing surgical procedures, facing end of life issues or involved in traumatic accidents;
b) Evangelizing and conducting Bible Studies to patients and their families;
c) Maintaining confidentiality of all patients medical and personal information;
d) Ensuring that appropriate worship opportunities are provided in the wards;
e) Coordinating visits from clergy, pastoral visitors, and volunteers from the religious community;
f) Coordinating other daily running of Spiritual activities in ward i.e. Discipleship,
Fellowship and videos;
g) Providing pastoral care in staff devotions, chapel and outpatient clinic; and,
h) Ensuring that all requests for pastoral care are responded to in a timely manner.
2.0 CUSTOMER FOCUS
a) Participating in scheduled Blood Drives, mobile and/or outreach programs;
b) To work with the Spiritual Director and Child Mentor to achieve the set goals and objectives;
c) Coordinating the supervision volunteers and pastoral interns’ ministry activities in the ward ministry;
d) Promote peace and love among other staff within the hospital;
e) Counselling and encouraging parents as per their pastoral needs;
f) Serving in institutional committees as appointed by the Spiritual Director;
g) Responding to urgent situations, including, but not limited to, medical emergencies or death(s) at the request of administrative coordinators, nurses, family;
h) Aiding the Child Mentor in the Supervision of Playroom and Playground activities,
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
1. Degree/ Diploma on Theological/ Biblical Training
2. 1-2 years’ experience
