Job Description
Background
Feminist Voices Zimbabwe is an organization strengthening gender advocacy and access to justice through documentation and dissemination of information. Through digital content creation, the publication of articles, and advocacy campaigns the organization scrutinizes legal frameworks and policy related issues informing gender disparity in Zimbabwe. Through the dissemination of information, FVZ improves women’s ability to navigate through legal processes and empowers them with knowledge on the applicability of statutes related to women specifically Sexual Health Reproductive Rights, and Sexual Gender-Based Violence.
Duties and Responsibilities
Volunteers will support the development of the organization’s publications while harnessing creative collaboration towards the creation of digital content to increase reach and engagement from several pathways. Volunteers will also offer technical support in the day to day running of the organization by expanding networks and engaging stakeholders, donors, and potential partners.
Qualifications and Experience
Commitment to elimination of prevalent social issues in gender; demonstrated strong writing & communication skills; experience in feminist analysis and advocacy; there is no tertiary education requirement volunteers are only required to be committed to contributing to gender activism
