Job Summary
The Planning Officer is going to be the projects sourcing and administration head. He/she will become one of our team leaders in projects acquisition, development and management. The planning officer is a key position in the property development projects feasibility studies, designing and implementation.

Duties and Responsibilities


Duties and Responsibilities

· Supporting of all project sourcing activities for land and housing development including project profitability and cash flow projections, preparing presentations, writing proposals, reports and drafting of agreements
· Provide town planning and/or land development consultancy services for clients
· Marketing of partially and completed projects including houses, residential and commercial stands
· Consulting with key stakeholders and other interested parties in land acquisition, subdivision and development
· Preparation of tender and contract documents including BOQs and Land Development Proposals
· Managing and maintaining databases as well as recording important information relating to potential projects, clients and partners
· Implementation of the provisions of the Regional Town and Country Planning Act and other related government statutes
· Liaising with colleagues in the departments of physical planning, local authorities and private sector or nongovernmental organisations
· Submission and follow-up of projects proposal documentation including layout plans and building plans to relevant authorities
· Provide town planning and building construction regulations on all projects undertaken
· Negotiate the purchase of land and manage the works of draughtsman, builders and property managers

Qualifications and Experience


Qualification and Experience
· BSc. (Honors) Degree in Rural and Urban Planning with specialisation in Building Economics/Construction
· At least 2 years post qualification experience
· Experience or any qualification in Building Construction is desirable
· Membership of the Zimbabwe Institute of Regional and Urban Planners
· Possession of a drivers license is an added advantage
· At least 30 years of age
