Finance and Logistics Assistant: Local NGO
The incumbent is expected to ensure that day to day accounting and administrative functions are performed in accordance with organisational policies, procedures and donor requirements.
Responsibility for month cash reconciliations and submit for review to Finance and Admin Officer; Preparation, monitoring and analysis of monthly reports including input into the accounting system; Maintain the financial system in an orderly and systematic manner; To prepare and verify all payments and receipts including supporting documentation; Monitor staff advances and prepare reconciliations in time; Support the monitoring of fleet management and logistics related activities.
Diploma or Degree in Accounting/ Finance or equivalent qualification. Knowledge in accounting packages is a must; At least 3 years working experience in an NGO sector in the field of Finance and Administration; An understanding of the logistics function; Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work under pressure; Excellent computer skills including Microsoft packages; Experience in managing USAID/EU grants an added advantage
Good written and communication skills; Excellent time management and organisational skills; Accuracy and attention detail; Comfortable team player; Goal oriented; Clean class 4 driver’s license
