Job Description
Under the instruction of the HOD, the Tyre Fitter is responsible for assessing, repairing, damaged tyres, carry out hot patches, fitting and balancing new tyres to vehicles. To also perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Duties and Responsibilities
Inspecting and assessing tire tread levels, wear patterns, valve quality and overall tyre health
Recommending appropriate repair treatment or replacement of tires
Repairing punctures and replacing faulty valves
Fitting new tyres
Conducting inventory and maintaining equipment
Conducting roadside repairs
Following all safety protocols while working in the Workshop
To do hot patches
Qualifications and Experience
Proven work experience as a tyre fitter
Extensive knowledge of tyre patterns and material composition
Ability to lift heavy objects
Ability to work in a crouched or standing position for extended periods
Good interpersonal skills
Ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision
Experienced in hot patching
