Job Description
We are looking for a qualified Tyre Fitter with a minimum of 3 years' post-qualification experience in a mining or heavy industrial environment. The role involves inspection, repair, and replacement of tyres on all site vehicles, from light vehicles to dump trucks, front-end loaders, mobile cranes, forklifts and scrapers.
Duties and Responsibilities
Inspect tyres for wear, damage, and pressure irregularities.
Perform repairs including patching, vulcanising, balancing, and rotations.
Mount and demount tyres safely using appropriate equipment.
Monitor and adjust tyre pressures per load and operational requirements.
Maintain accurate records of all fitments, repairs, and inspections.
Manage tyre stock levels and monitor tyre life cycles.
Enforce strict safety compliance and maintain workshop housekeeping.
Qualifications and Experience
Recognised Trade Test Certificate in Tyre Fitting or Automotive Mechanics.
Minimum 3 years' experience in mining, earthmoving, or heavy industry.
