Job Description

Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons to fill the following vacant posts that has arisen within
the Zimbabwe Manpower Development Fund (ZIMDEF) -an equal opportunity employer.
Job Purpose
The position exists to administer ZIMDEF fleet focusing on fuel management, maintenance and/or repairs, allocation, and control of vehicles so as to ensure efficient and timeous service delivery_

Duties and Responsibilities

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
• Managing vehicle availability by scheduling routine maintenance, servicing and curtailing breakdowns.
• Inspecting all vehicles on a regular basis to ensure the fleet is in good shape.
• Preparing log book summary sheets of mileage and fuel consumed on a monthly basis.
• Verifying all vehicle fault reports before recommending for repairs and verifying all repair or service woks done by approved service providers.
• Ensuring availability of adequate fuel stocks at any given time.
• Issuing fuel to all users in accordance with the Fleet Management Policy.
• Recording and reporting all accidents and/or thefts of the Fund's vehicles.
• Assisting in the assessment of all staff on their eligibility to drive Fund vehicles.
• Ensuring legal compliance of all vehicles so as to uphold the corporate image
• Producing routine and ad hoc reports as may be required by the supervisor from time to time.

Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications, Competencies and Work Competencies
• Degree in Transport Management.
Transport and Logistics Management,
Transport Administration or any equivalent degree.
• Relevant Professional qualification is an added advantage
• At least three years relevant experience
• Clean Class 2 Drivers License a must
