TRANSPORT CLERK (GRADE B4)
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The position exists to implement efficient transport service and vehicle maintenance systems, ensuring the smooth operation of transportation systems, timely delivery of goods and personnel, effective communication among all parties involved.
Key Responsibilities
Managing vehicle availability by scheduling routine maintenance, servicing and ensuring that accurate record is maintained and curtail breakdown. Design, model, or implement ZINARA data warehousing activities.
2 Carry out Fuel Audits for the organization's vehicles and Generators.
3 Assisting the Transport Controller in coming up with the fuel budget for the organizations fleet.
4 Ensuring that the organization's fleet is licensed and insured
5 Ensuring that the organization's fleet is adequately fueled to achieve the organizations mandate.
6 Raise both manual and Electronic (SAP) requisitions to facilitate repair of vehicles
7 Preparing Logs and summary sheets of mileage and fuel consumed on a Monthly Basis
8 Preparing Reports on fuel usage, repairs and running costs of the vehicle fleet.
9 Recording and reporting accidents and thefts of the organization's vehicles.
10 Recommending maintenance and repair of the organizations fleet of vehicles
11 Submit, Daily, Weekly, Monthly and Quarterly trend reports to the Transport Controller.
12 Maintaining accurate records of the organizations Fleet.
13 Maintaining updated files for each vehicle with relevant information.
Qualifications and Experience
1. 5 O' Levels including English and Maths.
2. 2 A' Levels or Equivalent.
3. Diploma in Transport and Logistics or equivalent
4. Class 4 Driver's License.
5. At least 1-year relevant experience.
6. Sound judgement and analytical skills.
7. Ms. Office, PowerPoint and Excel spread sheets.
