Job Description

The Institute of Directors Zimbabwe is looking for a Competent Training, Research and Development Manager to join the team. The Training, Research and Development Manager will contribute to the achievement of the purpose of the IoDZ, drive growth of both internal and external stakeholders through effective research, training and development which is aligned to the overall business development strategy for IoDZ. The position holder will maintain a close eye on the operational and financial performance, identify probable issues that may need attention of the management as per action-items and targeted objective

Duties and Responsibilities

• Preparing reports and presentations to share information about business development.
• Research, Recommend training and development programs and objectives.
• Conduct follow-up studies of all completed training to evaluate and measure results.
• Drawing up the annual Learning & Development Plan for the organization
• Drawing up Talent Development Calendar, Budget and coordinate programs
• Employee Grooming and Train programs across all departments
• Assessing learning needs from performance reviews
• Develop personal development plans (PDPs) and Identify learning and development gaps

Qualifications and Experience

A holder of a bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences,Research related or equivalent, A Post graduate master’s in Business Administration or Strategic Leadership and Corporate Governance degree is an added advantage; A Training Management Certificate qualification & Professional Membership is a must. At least 4 years’ progressive experience in Training Research and Development preferably in a multi-cultural context. A valid Class 4 Drivers License is a must .
