Job Description
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Till Operator(s) to join our team at Fairbanks Corporate!
As a Till Operator, you will be responsible for processing sales transactions accurately and efficiently using touch screen point of sale systems like iVend Retail. If you have prior experience with iVend Retail or similar systems, we encourage you to apply.
Duties and Responsibilities
-Greeting customers and assisting them with their purchases
-Greeting customers as they approach the checkout area
-Scanning items and processing payments using iVend Retail or similar systems
-Processing payments using cash, credit/debit cards, gift cards, or other payment methods
-Maintaining cleanliness and organization of till area
-Providing excellent customer service and addressing any concerns or issues that may arise
-Balancing the till at the end of each shift to ensure that all transactions are accounted for
-Assisting customers with bagging their purchases
-Replenishing products on the shelves to ensure they are always well-stocked and organized.
-Answering customer inquiries about products, prices, or store policies
-Must be knowledgeable about products, helpful, and friendly to ensure customers feel welcome and satisfied with their shopping experience.
-Required to stand for long periods of time and lift moderately heavy items, such as bags of groceries or large boxes.
-Always ensuring customers have "something to smile about"
Qualifications and Experience
-Prior experience as a Till Operator in a retail or hospitality setting
-Knowledge of touch screen point of sale systems like iVend Retail
-Strong communication and customer service skills
-Strong attention to detail to ensure that transactions are processed accurately.
-Ability to handle cash accurately
-Flexibility to work varying shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
-Ordinary and Advanced Levels including Mathematics and English Language
-Till operators must be proficient in basic arithmetic
-Should be able to provide friendly and efficient service to customers.
