Job Description

Suitably qualified, experienced and motivated candidates are invited to apply for the position of Testing and Quality Assurance Specialist which has arisen within the Technology
Services Department.

Job purpose

To manage and review test planning, test execution and delivery of systems and applications integrations by certifying business and regulatory requirements are met
pre/post-production while continuously ensuring the quality of set performance guidelines are maintained.

Duties and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following, among others:
 Developing and updating project test plans and submits to the Head Technology and security and governance for approval.
 Plans test schedules in accordance with project scope and delivery date, creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation
 Designing and specifies standards, methodology, procedures and processes to determine product quality and release readiness on product migration to production.
 Identifying Test tools (Automation or manual testing) for product and services to be tested and advises team members of the same.
 Representing Quality Assurance team at cross-department meetings and update the Stakeholders on the progress of testing activities
 Reviewing the Test cases and Test data generated by the Software Tester and identifies possible corrections.
 Checking that identified corrections have been resolved and submits Testing reports to the Head of Technology Security and Governance weekly.
 Tracking progress of internal/external stakeholders to identify and remove blockages and developer/business divergence from allocated tasks.
 Encouraging the appropriate level of quality by the resolution of important Defects
 Liaising with software developers and third parties on identified system or application problems and recommends possible solutions.
 Reviewing functional Specification documentation from Business Analysts/Scrum Master and identifies Technical accuracy, compliance, completeness in line with set standards and procedure and regulatory requirements.
 Carrying out ongoing evaluation of staff, identifies performance strengths and deficiencies, and arranges for necessary action (for example further on the job training);
 Approving (as applicable) leave, sick leave and requisition requests;
 Identifying disciplinary problems or issues of staff, and through the Head of Departmental, arranges for the necessary disciplinary action in line with Human Resources policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Experience

Qualification
 2 A level subjects (Science/Business).
 First Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent.
 Post graduate qualification (e.g. MBA, MSc) will be an advantage.
 Professional certification in ISTQB, ITIL
 Knowledge in Testing tools is required (e.g Neoload, Lambdatest, Selenium, badboy, Jmeter)

Experience
 At least 2 - 4 years’ experience in the IT industry with more emphasis in the Technology Testing Services
 1 or more years in a supervisory position.
 2 years in Agile Development Environment
 IT Incident Management and problem resolution
 Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
 Strong relationships building and networking skills
