Job Description
Industrial Psychology Consultants (Pvt) Ltd has been contracted by the Grain Marketing Board (GMB) to assist with the recruitment and selection of a suitable candidate for the position of Technical Services Manager.
Overall Job Purpose
To formulate and implement the strategic policies and procedures for the Technical Department annually.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Prepares and controls the Technical Services department budget.
• Formulates technical systems for infrastructural designs or modifications and the preparation of tenders thereof.
• Approves all technical material procurement and payments for materials and services.
• Draws up terms of reference for provision of services to external dents and faciitates signing of contracts as and when necessary.
• Organizes and monitors implementation of approved projects for the organisation through checking progress and quality of workmanship on an ongoing basis.
• Liaises with procurement department in the procurement of Engineering materials as and when necessary.
• Commissions plants, equipment and new buildings to users in the organisation on completion.
• Sets performance standards for the maintenance and implementation of GMB projects monthly.
• Prepares accurate and timeous departmental reports on a daily, weekly, monthly basis
Qualifications and Experience
• Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering
• At least 3 years' experience in a similar role
