Technical Officer

Job Description

The purpose of the job is to carry out testing inspections, calibrations or tests on samples received in house or on site.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Carrying out testing inspections, calibrations or tests on samples received in house or on site.
• Inspection / calibration / testing methods evaluations, appraisal
• Compiling laboratory inspection or test reports accordingly
• General maintenance, and upkeep of equipment
• Assisting in the training of junior staff
• Participate in standards development as a technical expert

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma in Electrical and Power Engineering
• Higher National Diploma or degree will be an added advantage
• 2 years’ experience in industry
• Knowledge of ZWS ISO 17020 or 17025 management system is an added advantage
