Job Description

Job exists to support the Clinical Services Coordinator/Field Services Coordinator to have visibility in the implementation of target driven annual district/cluster plans across all the health areas.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Coordinates and leads planning for cluster activities.
• Supports the supervision and monitoring of cluster teams’ performance through providing
on-going feedback and mentorship.
• Ensures that staff duties are adequately allocated and manned in terms of numbers and
skill for approval by site manager.
• Drafts outreach schedules and share with the Clinical Services Coordinator.
• Supports the Clinical Services Coordinator/Field Services Coordinator in planning
outreach programs and mobilization strategies.
• Schedules community-based activities by developing a monthly outreach itinerary.
• Supervises EPMs, DSDs, and Peer counsellors in clusters.
• Sensitizes gatekeepers and all stakeholders about available services in the cluster.
• Supports the Clinical Services Coordinator/Field Services Coordinator in conducting
sessions (sit inns) and staff appraisals to ensure quality and consistency of HIV/ASRHR
procedures.
• Monitors treatment and care cohort in their clusters.
• Monitors the quality of client care and ensures clients received an integrated service
package: Viral Load, cervical cancer screening, TB screening & treatment and or referral.
• Monitors feedback from the clients on services they receive.
• Ensures internal quality control in the laboratory and supervises regular external quality
control with ZINQAP. Daily, weekly, and monthly data triangulation and verification with
cluster teams and evidence team.
• Ensures that all data captured is of good quality and is reported in PSH systems.
• Compiles monthly reports and consolidates for submission to Site manager.
• Ensures that referrals are tracked for investigations and checks on service providers.
• Participates in Data Quality Audits.
• Supports the implementation of planned cluster community activities and shares daily
outputs.
• Checks and verifies data completion in registers and sign.
• Monitors treatment and care cohort in their clusters. Represent PSH & attends stakeholder
meetings in the cluster.
• Collaborates with partners in planning for the provision of HIV prevention, care, and
treatment services in the community.
• Monitors levels of medical, FP commodities and office supplies and organizes for quarterly
replenishments to avoid stock outs.
• Monitors stock utilisation, commodity expiry and documentation on stock control card.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma in Nursing for clinical team leads or Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Sciences for
Laboratory Team Lead.
• Leadership qualification is a distinct advantage.
• Computer skills and excellent writing skills.
• 5 years relevant experience, 1 of which should be at a supervisory level.
• Clean class 4/5 driver’s license an added advantage.
