Systems Analyst (1 Post)
Duties and Responsibilities
Analysis of clients’ existing systems and business models
Analysis of systems requirements and undertake product development
Translating clients’ requirements into highly specified project briefs
Understanding the software development lifecycle
Identifying options for potential solutions and assessing technical and business suitability
Overseeing the implementation of a new system including data migration
Supporting users on change control and system updates
Producing manuals and training users on new systems
Developing and maintaining the University website
Database administration
Ensuring system security including disaster recovery
Any other related duties as assigned by the Head of Department.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent from a recognised University. Applicants should have at least four years’ relevant experience, strong analytical skills and have a good grasp of ICT technologies, architectures and best practices, and should be well versed with SQL, Oracle, Visual Basic, C++, Java, Cloud, Mobile, .NET and browser based technologies.
