To support the IT department
Duties and Responsibilities
Deploy and maintain server infrastructure to run critical business applications.
Monitor performance, availability and stability of systems and applications to maintain a 24x7x365 uptime.
Establish, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools.
Plan and implement systems automation as required for better efficiency.
Oversee the constant availability of technical resources.
Maintain and supervise the IT inventory.
Monitor backup processes to ensure recoverability according to the disaster recovery plan.
Create scripts to automate server management tasks.
Document relevant processes and procedures.
Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs.
Qualifications and Experience
Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or similar qualifications.
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
Thorough understanding of Windows & Linux server operating systems, certification will be an advantage.
In depth knowledge of Microsoft 365 services.
