Responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality, authentic sushi and sashimi dishes while maintaining strict food safety and hygiene standards.
What We’re Looking For:
Experience in sushi preparation (maki, nigiri, sashimi) – all experience levels considered
Strong knife skills and knowledge of food safety standards
Ability to work in a team, under pressure, with a focus on quality and consistency
Creativity, passion for Japanese cuisine, and attention to detail
A positive attitude and willingness to learn or lead, depending on level
Apprenticeship: A long, traditional training period under a master chef.
Knife Skills: Mastery of cutting, filleting, and preparing fish with precision.
Rice & Food Prep: Expert knowledge of making perfect sushi rice and handling all ingredients.
Hygiene: Strict adherence to food safety and sanitation standards.
Personal Qualities: Patience, attention to detail, and discipline.
Degree or Diploma in Tourism and Hospitality, Culinary Arts, or a related field
