Job Description
We are a Land Development company seeking to recruit an experienced surveyor for an ongoing housing project on a fixed contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a well-established organization to work on a variety of tasks across the site. The role involves setting out trenches, levelling, and guiding the excavation machine, monitoring, and level control and verification.
LOCATION: HARARE/RUWA/CONCESSION
Duties and Responsibilities
➢ Set out of sewer trenches to design specifications.
➢ Excavation machine monitoring.
➢ Provide Levels for trenching, bedding, and sewer pipe laying.
➢ Ensure pipes are laid to design specifications and guided by the Engineer.
➢ Maintain accurate records of setting out and provide feedback to the project engineer.
➢ Maintain sound and good communication with the team to ensure a smooth flow of work.
Qualifications and Experience
➢ Diploma in Land Surveying or Civil Engineering or a certificate
➢ Proven relevant experience as a site Surveyor particularly for housing developments.
➢ Competency with setting-out equipment such as levelling machines
➢ Good understanding of relevant regulations in the construction and laying of pipes.
➢ Meticulous attention to detail and ability to work with minimum supervision and in collaboration with project engineers and site agents.
➢ Must be honest and a team player with sound communication &interpersonal skills
➢ A proactive approach to problem-solving on-site.
