Job Description

Organizing and supervising the daily supply chain activities and the teams in coordination & supportof projects according to MSF protocols and standards in order to ensure the optimal running of the mission.

Duties and Responsibilities

Job Requirements:
• Plans the daily activities in the capital supply office in liaison with team members following best practice, standard operating procedures and legal requirements
• Manage supplier contracts in liaison with the Purchaser and Supply Chain Team Leader
• Monitoring and supervision of the implementation of warehouse and stock management activities
• Following up of all stocks, ensuring compliance with MSF standards, protocols and procedures
• Timeous and periodic reporting of a II supply activities to the Supply Chain Team Leader
• Timeous encoding and validation of international orders & Customs clearance for International freights
• Supporting the Supply Chain Team Leader in all Human Resources Management issues of the Supply Chain department
• Proposing review of the management of the sup ply chain practices
• Technically supporting project teams with all supply chain related issues
• Responsible for the supply database and appropriate filing and archiving of supply documentation
• Any other supply chain/ logistics related responsibilities as assigned from time to time

Qualifications and Experience

Educational and Professional Background:
• Diploma or Degree in Procurement/Logistics/Supply Chain Management
• CIPS Diploma or progress towards same or related professional qualification
• Two years minimum working experience in Logistics/Supply Ma management t in an N GO environment
• Good negotiation, communication, team work , interpersonal & management skills
• High flexibility and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Clear knowledge & experience of all legislative instruments and procedures of medical supplies
• Experience using Unified or knowledge of any ERP and Microsoft office packages
