Zvandiri is a local PVO which supports the Government of Zimbabwe to ensure that all children, adolescents and young people living with HIV survive and thrive by connecting them with trained, mentored peer counselors also living with HIV. This peer counselor cadre (known as Community Adolescent Treatment Supporter) has been scaled by the Ministry of Health and Child Care across Zimbabwe and has been adopted by 13 other countries in the region with funding from multiple bilateral and philanthropic partners.
Position summary
The Supply Chain Associate/Intern supports the implementation of the Zvandiri Supply Chain policies to ensure good logistical, administration performance and provide the best possible support to the programs.
Job Description
• Assists in developing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating the Supply Chain Management strategy in alignment with organizational goals.
• Ensures compliance with Supply Chain Management policies, reporting standards, donor, and organizational requirements.
• Provides logistical and operational support, including fleet management, stock storage, and inventory oversight.
• Supports grant management through supply chain information provision, reporting, and budget tracking.
• Innovates and adopts tools and processes to enhance supply chain efficiency.
• Collaborates with stakeholders and prepare logistics, stock, and fleet management reports.
• Assists in overseeing vehicle roadworthiness, fuel management, and driver support, ensuring adherence to policies and safety protocols.
• Supports supervision of security, and repairs for office buildings and rented premises.
• Manage asset registers, conduct verifications, and facilitate tagging according to organizational policies.
Professional Qualifications
• Bachelor’s in Logistics/Supply Chain Management or similar qualification; CILT certification is an added advantage.
• 1–2 years’ experience in a similar role with knowledge of procurement regulations and procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with knowledge of Pastel and Sage as an added advantage.
• Strong communication, negotiation, analytical, and report presentation skills.
• Valid and clean Class 4 driver’s license.
