Job Description

CARE began working in Zimbabwe in 1992 in response to a severe regional drought. After establishing a drought mitigation program, CARE began longer term developmental programs with local partners in building small dams, strengthening local microfinance institutions, and launching projects to assist small businesspersons in the rural areas.

CARE Zimbabwe’s overall goal is to empower disadvantaged and poor households to meet their basic needs. Programs promote sustainable livelihoods of poor and vulnerable people.

Job Description
The Internship Programme provides selected graduates, with the opportunity to supplement their academic knowledge with a practical work experience. The Program will enable them to gain a better understanding of the Supplementary Feeding Program through mobilizing the community for Registration, Verification, Distribution of Supplementary feeding rations and Measurement of Upper Arm Circumference (MAUC) measurements of children under two years at Supplementary Feeding program distribution points;

Duties and Responsibilities

Commodity Management and Distribution.
Commodity Accounting.
Project Monitoring.
Project Reporting.
Stakeholder Engagement and Management.
Screening for acute malnutrition.
Key health and nutrition messages.

Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications
Education: Candidate must have completed a B.Sc. Nutrition/Food Science and Nutrition/Development Studies/Social Work. Proficiency in especially excel, word and access.
Skills: Candidates should be able to adapt to a multicultural environment, have good communication skills
