Zvitambo Institute for Maternal and Child Health Research is an internationally recognised multidisciplinary public health research institute with the mission of helping children survive and thrive through research. We work in partnership with the Ministry of Health and Child Care to conduct research and provide technical support and education to reduce the burden of malnutrition and infectious disease and give children a good start in life. Zvitambo is registered as a non-profit company and operates from a head office in Harare and a field site in Shurugwi.
Job Description
Under the direct supervision of the Logistics and Supply Chain Manager, the intern will support the planning and flow of required resources into the organisation to support on-going research studies.
• Receive and review purchase requisition forms from Departments
• Request for quotations from reputable suppliers
• Build on the current suppliers data base
• Payment processing, and cash acquittals
• Assist with fleet management
Qualifications
• The candidate must be studying toward a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management specialising in either Logistics or Procurement
Required competencies
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Organised and able to meet deadlines
