Job Description

To support the Stores departmenent function through controlling and managing inventory and stocks by applying and enforcing relevant company policies and procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Maintaining accurate record of inventory and stock management systems according to set standards.
- Ensuring regulation of in-stock level complies with inventory parameters.
- Utilising the company’s inventory software platform to check in products and compare deliveries to outstanding purchase orders.
- Supervising the maintenance of a warehouse/storeroom and ensure proper arrangement of stock.
- Carrying out stock management operations in line with set product/retail policies and procedures
- Collaborating with purchasing group to determine when products are missing from deliveries and contact vendors in regards to damaged product.
- Working closely with Buyer to make sure that each packaged order has the correct amount and types of products.

Qualifications and Experience

• Degree in Purchasing and Supply/Stores Management, or related field.
• At least 5 years experience preferably in a Mining environment.
• Good supervisory and interpersonal skills to work well with people.
• Proficiency with computers, especially MS Office and other applicable softwares.
• Clean Class 4 drivers licence.
