Title: Stores Controller
Division: Manufacturing
Department: Stores
Reports to: Head of Production.
A Bulawayo based pharmaceutical manufacturing company seeks the services of a qualified Stores Controller. The Position Holder will ensure proper handling and storage of stock in line with WHO’s current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), enforce and ensure strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures and regulatory requirements. The Position Holder will support production and QC Operations and is expected to control operations in the warehouse, effectively manage and supervise warehouse staff, as well as the finance department., analysing supply chain data to ensure the uninterrupted availability of stock, forecasting supply and demand to prevent overstocking and running out-of-stock, placing and receiving orders to replenish stocks as needed, coordinating internal stock transfers, as well as overseeing stock storage processes, including tagging, boxing, and labeling and maintaining a steady flow of stock from storage to where it is needed.

Duties and Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities include:
• Coordinating stock control operations with Accounts Department
• Forecasting supply and demand to prevent over stocking and running out of stock.
• Replacing and Receiving orders to replenish stocks as needed.
• Performing regular inventory audits and keeping stock holding within budget.
• Ensuring that only materials from approved suppliers are received into the warehouse with adequate documentation as per SOP
• Ensuring that goods received are accompanied by proper documentation including certificates of analysis, delivery note, invoices and in accordance with the Purchase Order.
• Ensuring the raising of Goods Receiving Vouchers (GRV) as soon as materials are received.
• Monthly checking or tracking of materials that are due for reanalysis and expired, transfer them to the quarantine and ensure proper documentation is done as per standard operating procedures
• Effectively monitor and control the issuance and use of consumables for use in production, starting material stores and other departments.
• Timely requisitions of production and stores consumables to ensure that there are no stock outs.
• Ensuring general cleaning and disinfection of the warehouses and all its cubicle is carried out as per standard operating procedures.
• Co-ordinating and participating in monthly stock take.
• Ensuring the receipt and handling of incoming raw materials is followed as per written SOP.
• Ensuring that all packaging and raw materials are stored and kept under required conditions.
• Ensure accurate issuance and reconciliation of materials.
• Ensure adherence to CGMP
• Ensure adequate documentation of all stock receipts, issuance and movements.

Qualifications and Experience

Requirements:
The position requires the job holder to possess the following:
• Academic Diploma/ HND in Purchasing or Supply Management or Inventory Management.
• 5 0'level passes including Maths and English.
• Proven work experience as a Stock Controller, Inventory Officer or similar role.
• Working knowledge of inventory management software (Sage, Pastel, Navision or SAP).
• Active participation in inventory audits.
• Basic knowledge of Good Warehouse Practices and cGMP.

Requisite skills:
• Proficiency with computer systems including MS Excel and MS Word among others.
• Highly organized and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and flexibility.
• Mature person with no criminal record.
• Leadership, decision making abilities and assertiveness.
• Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills
• Proficiency with SAGE 200 will be an added advantage .
