VACANCY NOTICE
STORES CLERK
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the above vacancy that has arisen within First Mutual Life Assurance Company.
The Job
Reporting to the Administration Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
• Receiving authorised requisitions and checking that all requests are properly approved before processing
• Verifying items and quantities against requisitions to ensure accuracy before issuing stock
• Submitting requisitions for approval and forwarding them to procurement for processing
• Managing stock levels by monitoring usage and ensuring timely replenishment of inventory
• Ordering stock and coordinating with suppliers to maintain adequate inventory levels
• Receiving goods from suppliers and storing them safely before issuing to departments and SBUS
• Issuing inventory to departments and SBUs while maintaining proper records of all stock movements
• Capturing and updating stock transactions in Sage Intact, including SBU stock modules and inventory ledgers
• Reconciling stock balances between Sage Intact, SBU stock modules and ledger balances, and working with finance teams to resolve variances
• Supporting audits by conducting stock counts, maintaining accurate inventory reports and ensuring compliance with internal controls
The Person
The ideal candidate must possess the following:
• Diploma in Accounting/Risk Management or equivalent
• A Diploma in Stores Management is an added advantage
• At least 2 (two years' experience in a similar environment
• Ability to work with minimum supervision
