Store clerks perform a variety of duties, all aimed at ensuring that the store is well-run and profitable, and that customers are happy and provide positive word-of-mouth recommendations. This position requires good people skills, good communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to multi-task in a sometimes fast-paced environment.
• Coordinating stock control operations with production staff, as well as the sales and finance department.
• Analysing supply chain data to ensure the uninterrupted availability of stock
• To work with your immediate supervisors and senior management team to take responsibility to plan stock replenishment ordering for all departments
• To monitor stock usages ensuring no “stock outs” and to also deal with overstocking
• To achieve high levels of personal productivity and pace, getting things done quickly, efficiently to a high standard
• To check and control all purchase orders and delivery/invoice notes
• Placing and receiving orders to replenish stocks as needed
• Overseeing stock storage processes, labelling and updating of bin cards and other inventory records
A diploma in purchasing and supply /any other relevant qualification
Minimum of 3 years’ experience
Driver’s license is an added advantage
