Job Description

The Stores Clerk Shall be responsible for providing customers systematic support in the process of procuring or inquiring for their desired product or product type. The incumbent shall also be responsible for handling goods, compiling reports and a range of other warehousing activities.

Duties and Responsibilities

 Conducts a systematic inspection of all stock delivered at Stores.
 Monitoring of all stocks in the stores and raising stock requests/requirements for all user departments.
 Organizing, maintaining inventory and planning of storage area.
 Issue out stock accurately to end users against authenticated requisitions.
 Captures data of all issued items accurately and records issues into the log book or Pastel System.
 Files all administrative input, related documents and manages issue records proficiently and efficiently.
 Partakes in regular stock take to ascertain the stocking levels in the stores.
 Purchases goods and services for the company in line with laid down SOPs.
 Update and maintain a supplier database as well as source and develop referrals list taking into consideration reliability, agility, flexibility and provision of genuine products.

Qualifications and Experience

• National Diploma/ Degree in Purchasing and Supply or Stores Management, Procurement.
• 2 years post qualification experience.
