Job Description
SPORT DEVELOPMENT OFFICER
Location: Head Office
The Sports and Recreation Commission (SRC) invites suitably qualified and experienced candidates to apply for the following position:
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for the design, implementation, management, and evaluation of sport development projects, as well as the monitoring of sport development programmes aimed at increasing participation, improving performance, and sustainable sport development nationwide in line with SRC policies and national objectives.
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum Requirements
* Degree in Sport Management, Sport and Recreation, Sports Science, or a related sport development qualification.
* A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in sport development, sports administration, programme management, or a related field.
* Sound understanding of sport development principles and athlete participation pathways.
Added Advantages
* Sound knowledge of the Sports and Recreation Commission (SRC) Act and Regulations.
* Experience in project planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.
* Experience working with National Sports Associations, community sport programmes, or government institutions.

* Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
* Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
* Strong analytical and report-writing capabilities.
* Ability to build and maintain effective partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.

* Passion for sport development and promoting increased participation and performance in sport.
