Solar Technician
We are seeking dedicated Solar Energy Technicians to expand our dynamic teams based in Harare, Bulawayo, Gweru, Mutare, Chinhoyi and Rusape. Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities
• Subcontracted you will be expected to embrace the company’s quality systems and customer service standards.
• Install, maintain, and repair solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, including the mounting of panels, wiring, and monitoring equipment.
• Conduct on-site surveys to determine the best placement and layout of solar equipment.
• Troubleshoot system issues and provide technical support to clients and team members.
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures while maintaining high quality standards and compliance with regulations.
• Prepare detailed reports on job status, issues encountered, and overall system performance.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in solar energy.
Qualifications and Experience
Requirements
• At least 5 O Level Subjects (including English and Mathematics)
• Proven experience as a Solar Technician or similar role in the renewables sector, at least two years’ experience.
• Familiarity with solar PV systems, electrical wiring, and system installations.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in challenging environments.
• Certification in Electrical or Solar Energy Technology from an accredited institution preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to travel and perform physical activities as needed.
