Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Social Scientist to join our team, We are an environmental organization committed to conducting comprehensive Environmental Impact Assessment Studies (EIAS). The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in integrating social science perspectives into our environmental projects.

Description

As a Social Scientist, you will be responsible for assessing the social impacts of environmental projects, engaging with communities, and ensuring that social considerations are integrated into our EIAS processes. Your work will help us understand and mitigate the social implications of environmental changes, contributing to sustainable development and community well-being.

Duties and Responsibilities

Conduct social impact assessments as part of EIAS.
Engage with local communities to gather data and understand their concerns.
Collaborate with environmental scientists and other stakeholders to integrate social science findings into project planning and implementation.
Develop and implement strategies to mitigate negative social impacts of environmental projects.
Prepare detailed reports and present findings to stakeholders.
Stay updated with the latest research and methodologies in social science and environmental studies.

Qualifications and Experience

A degree in Social Science, Environmental Science, or a related field.
Proven experience in conducting social impact assessments and working on EIAS projects.
Strong analytical and research skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
Knowledge of relevant social science methodologies and tools.
