Job Description

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill in the posts of:-

Position: Site Supervisor
Reports to: General Manager
Location: Harare

Duties and Responsibilities


Duties and Responsibilities
 Schedules, assigns, and plans the work of carpentry/joinery shop personnel performing a variety of carpentry projects.
 Plans and develops work schedules, equipment usage schedules, priority of carpentry expenditures, and procedures for equipment maintenance.
 Ensure installation is carried out as per construction drawings
 Estimates material and labor.
 Monitors the acquisition and use of materials.
 Constructs custom cabinetry and furniture as needed, repairs or modifies furniture as needed
 Maintains time, payroll, and material records, and submits reports.
 Trains or informs employees of new work methods or procedures, changes in safety regulations, work policies, construction codes, and the like.
 Ensures budgeting guidelines are met; prioritizes shop expenditures and assists in preparation of capital and operations budgets.
 Reviews plans and specifications for future buildings, and inspects new buildings to ensure quality work and code and specifications compliance.
 To monitor the progress and quality of work being performed by workers.
 Ensure that works are executed within an acceptable standard of workmanship.
 Understand and ensure compliance in project requirement and scope of work.

Qualifications and Experience

Desired Requirements
• Skilled Worker Class 1 Shopfitter /Carpenter/ Joiner
• Apprenticeship trained
• 5 years experience in a similar position
• Must possess a driver’s license
• Excellent Supervisory skills
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
