Job Description

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the above position that has arisen at North West Matabeleland Region –Main Camp Clinic. The incumbent will be reporting to the Senior Area Manager Hwange Main Camp.

Sister-In-Charge – Hwange Main Camp Clinic (D1) X1

Duties and Responsibilities

Duties (Responsibilities)

Prepares Clinic budget and workplan
Compiles list of drug requirements for procurement
Manages patients records and initiates patients on ART
Conducts antenatal clinics and diseases identification
Supervises dispensing of medicines and controls stocks
Makes sure that the Clinic complies with the Ministry of Health and Child Care standards and any other regulations in the medical field
Provides health education on prevailing conditions to staff members
Conducts mobile clinic around stations within the Region
Recommends training and staff development for clinic staff
Manages performance of clinic staff in line with IRBM
Provides counselling services to staff members and their families
Advises Management on all Heath issues.

Qualifications and Experience

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

Diploma In General Nursing; Midwifery and Community Nursing
Degree in Nursing or any other relevant degree will be an added advantage
At least 5 years’ experience in the nursing field, 2 of which should be in running a clinic
Experience in occupational health
Strong interpersonal skills, professional, mature, openness and collaborative skills,
Computer literacy
