Job Description

Established in 1987, Population Services Zimbabwe (PSZ) an affiliate of MSI Reproductive Choices (MSI), is one of the largest
organisations in Zimbabwe focusing on providing quality sexual and reproductive health (SRH)/ family planning services. In its
service provision, PSZ compliments the Ministry of Health and Child Care and collaborates with other stakeholders to provide
modern and affordable products and services through various service delivery channels which include
1. SINGLE NURSE PROVIDERS
Location: Chiredzi (X1), Chinhoyi (X1), Marondera (X1) Contract: Fixed Term Contract
The Role
As part of the PSZ Programs department mandate to deliver high quality and high impact services across various delivery
channels, the key functions of this role are to manage stakeholder relations and provide support to the partners within the Public
Sector Support (PSS) Channel.

Duties and Responsibilities

Key responsibilities
The incumbent will be responsible for the following among other duties:
• Provide family planning services and perform procedures which includes MVA, IUCD, implant insertion/removal in PSS
program of Population Services Zimbabwe in the region.
• Ensuring that clinical standards are adhered to as well as provision of quality service in LARCS
• Representing PSZ at provincial and district stakeholder meetings
• Augmenting service provision –primary health care, family planning, and other SRH services
• Counseling of clients and providing advice on various methods of Family Planning to enable the client to make an
informed decision
• Liaise with MoH&CC and ZNFPC and other important stakeholders in the provision of family planning services and other
reproductive health services in the region.
• Conducting and facilitating clinical audits in the Region.
• Partake PSS meetings in the Region.
• Coordinate with the marketing and communication department for all marketing and mobilization needs.

• Experience of development and delivery of supervisor skills both individually and others.
• Passionate about client services and delivering professional support to clients
• Strong time management, organisation and prioritisation skills and the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
• Ability to work remotely, work across a geographical area covering numerous locations and independently and on own
initiative.
• Resilient, Adaptable and Flexible.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively across a broad spectrum of
managers with varying levels of capability.

Qualifications and Experience

About You
To succeed in this role, you must have:
• Diploma in Registered General Nursing/Midwifery/Community Nursing/
• Forensic License (M.C.A.Z)
• Family Planning Certificate, LARCs training and experience, PAC and CAC will be most desired
• Current Practicing Certificate from the Nurses Council of Zimbabwe is a requirement
• At least 5 years’ working experience of which 2 years must be in a supervisory role.
• Experience working in the public health sector will be a distinct advantage.
• Must be computer literate and have excellent report writing and presentation skills
• Clean class 4 driver’s licence, Class 3 will be an added advantage
