Job Description
Under the directions of the Foreman, the Shutter Hand/ Construction Carpenter is responsible for making shutters and assembling system formwork for reinforced cement concrete structures such as columns, beams, slabs, walls, foundations and other similar structures. The individual should have good knowledge of safe working practices.
Duties and Responsibilities
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Setting out the work area. following engineering plans.
Using hand and power tools to cut plywood, wood and assemble shutters/boxes and panels using screws.
Reading of drawings/projects/plans in English.
Assembling and dismantling of conventional and system formwork for foundation, column, wall and tie beam
Qualifications and Experience
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE and SKILLS
• Traceable work experience in shuttering
• Sound knowledge of accident, health, safety and evacuation procedures mid their reporting
• Sound communication skills
• Ability to work under minimum supervision
