Job Description

The Adult Rape Clinic (ARC) is a Registered Non-Governmental Organization that offers medical and psychosocial support care to survivors of sexual gender-based violence (SGBV). ARC is looking for a Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights Officer stationed in Harare. Job Description
This position requires a highly motivated and mature individual. S/he will develop and implement programs focused on sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), ensuring they align with national and international guidelines. Conduct community outreach and mobilization to promote SRHR services and educate the public on sexual and reproductive health issues. Provide capacity-building sessions for adolescents, parents, community members, and stakeholders on contraception, menstrual health, sexually transmitted infections including HIV, reproductive health cancers, and prevention of sexual gender-based violence. Work closely with local health facilities, government agencies, and other stakeholders to enhance the delivery of SRHR services.

Duties and Responsibilities

 Plan, implement, and report on SRH clinical and outreach activities.
 Provide SRH case management, education, and counselling services to ARC clients and their families and provide follow-up care as needed.
 Participate in SRH-related research, and surveys.
 Enhance awareness of SRHR, develop and distribute IEC materials on SRH information and access.
 Promote access to SRH services, including referrals for specialized tests and treatment.
 Coordinate, manage, and track project milestones and implementation of activities as indicated in the work plan and alert management of any deviations from project plans.
 Ensuring that the appropriate filing system is implemented for all documentation (eg program reports, budgets, and expenditure reports)
 Participate as needed in high-priority activities for the SRH program, including but not limited to data analysis and interpretation, SRH capacity building, program performance reviews, etc.
 Participate in establishing funding requirements for reproductive health activities and contribute to developing proposals for sustainable programming.
 In consultation with the Director, develop an annual work plan and budget for SRH services under ARC.
 Represent ARC's work and specifically SRH activities in SRH coordination meetings.
 Ensure all staff are trained on the prevention of sexual exploitation, abuse, and harassment (PSEAH) and are fully informed of the code of conduct and zero tolerance for SEAH.

Qualifications and Experience

 Health-related degree: Public health, Nursing, Midwifery, Reproductive health.
 A Master’s degree in the above disciplines is an added advantage.
 Certification in HIV and AIDs testing and counselling services.
 Certification in Family Planning methods or other clinical sexual reproductive health competencies.

Experience
 At least 3 years’ experience in SRH technical expertise in case management and reporting.
 Proven work experience in Counselling and Testing for HIV and AIDS, sexual reproductive clinical services provision.
 Demonstrated success in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with government, donors, and NGO stakeholders.
 Exceptional and demonstrated ability to influence and build consensus across diverse groups' perspectives.

Essential Skills
 Project management skills: the ability to plan, organize, work under pressure, respond to deadlines, prioritize competing deliverables, troubleshoot and solve project-related problems, manage project budget, and be flexible and productive while working independently.
 Computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite, E-mail, competent in collection, consolidation, and analysis, good report writing skills.
 Communication skills: Excellent written, oral, presentation, and networking skills.
 Skills in training, monitoring, and evaluation of health interventions.
 A clean Class 4 Driver’s Licence.
