Responsible for all communications, public relations, and public affairs in the organization. Manages the brand image of the Institution by building a reputation through the media, promotional activities campaigns, and media relations.
Key Performance Areas
• Prepares periodic media plan, detailing and shortlisting journalists from publications as well as influencers and media houses to ensure that quality and quantity of publicity mileage is achieved.
• Organizes and feeds content into the organization’s digital media platforms.
• Prepares publicity brochures, press releases, internal newsletters, and agency briefs.
• Implements Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy and execute CSR activities through
key stakeholder engagement.
• Seeks, evaluates, and analyses Media Coverage to understand the impact of communication
efforts on the brand image.
• Drafts speeches and coordinate interviews of senior management.
• Arranges and undertakes event hosting and management.
Qualifications/Skills and Knowledge Requirements
• Degree in Media Studies/Journalism/Communication.
• At least three years’ post graduate experience.
• Marketing skills are a must.
• Professional fluency in English and vernacular a must.
• Proof of ability as a published writer with reputable publications and traceable references.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and camera facing prowess.
• Excellent Excel and PowerPoint presentation skills.
• Experience with high-end events management and hosting of high-profile stakeholders.
