A dynamic and leading organization in the construction industry seeks to recruit a suitably qualified person to fill in the position of Senior Diesel Plant Fitter to oversee all daily operations of the plant to ensure policies and procedures are followed. The incumbent will be reporting to the Managing Director.
Determines vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests; identifying worn and damaged parts.
Keeps equipment available for use by completing preventive maintenance schedules; installing component and part upgrades; controlling corrosion; completing winterization procedures.
Complies with federal and state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards.
• Verifies vehicle performance by conducting test drives; adjusting controls and systems.
• Maintains vehicle appearance by cleaning, washing, and painting.
• Maintains vehicle records by annotating services and repairs.
• Be responsible for production output, product quality and on-time shipping

Commit to plant safety procedures
Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets
Address employees’ issues or grievances and administer collective bargaining agreements
Stay up to date with latest production management best practices and concepts
Requirements
Class 1 Journeyman
5 years’ experience in a similar position
Strong planning and organization skills.
Demonstrate effective customer service skills.
Demonstrate good time management skills.
Ability of working alone and using own initiative, but also enjoy working as part of a team.
Ability to work to deadlines.
Flexibility.
Hold a full clean driving license.
