Job Description
A construction company based in Harare seeks to recruit suitable candidates for position that has arisen in its structure. Demonstrated expertise in security guard with 2 years + of experience in a similar role, ideally within the construction Industry
Role Purpose: Provide security guard services to a gated community, reporting to a Security Officer, ensure security services have been delivered effectively and efficiently and that accurate and timely reports are produced to the Security officer.
Duties and Responsibilities
Lead the following:
• Conducting regular patrols of interior and exterior company properties to establish and maintain security controls.
• Patrol the premises to prevent unauthorized access
• Completing security reports by attending to crime scenes and recording observations and any other important information.
• Ensuring compliance to all security procedures, regulations and keeping abreast of any changes to laws.
• Enforcing all related Company Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) requirements.
• Monitor CCTV cameras and respond to incidents
• Control access to premises through gates and doors
• Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances
• Maintain incident reports and logs
• Collaborate with law enforcement when necessary.
Qualifications and Experience
• 5 O’ Levels or better
• 2+ years of experience in the security industry
• Security Training Certificate is a must
• Excellent observation and communication skills
• Ability to work varying shifts
• Attention to detail
• Physical fitness
• Team-player
• Quick decision-making
• Positive Customer service attitude
• ISO 23952 Service excellent certificate is an added advantage
