Job Description
The primary duty of a security guard is prevention and deterrence of a crime and enforcing the rules and regulations where they are guarding. The security guard is also expected to write reports detailing any occurrences during their shift.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Patrolling and monitoring activities on the client’s premises regularly to discourage criminals and ensure the environment is safe and secure
- Evicting trespassers and violators and detaining perpetrators while following legal protocols before relevant authorities arrive to take over
- Controlling the entrance and departure of employees, visitors and vehicles according to protocols
- Providing detailed reports on daily activities and any incidents that may have occurred
-Using provided communication devices such as two-way radios in a clear and concise manner
- Performing CPR or first aid when needed
Qualifications and Experience
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language
- Minimum 3 O-level passes
- Minimum age 21
- Fit & of good health and sorber habits
- Honest & reliable
- Ability to pass security screening/police clearance
- Security training certificate preferred but not mandatory
- Willingness to undergo further security training
- Prior experience as a Security Guard would be advantageous.
