Job Description
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of Security Guard that has arisen. The position is in Bulawayo therefore preference will be given to Bulawayo residents. The main purpose of the job is to patrol and protect assigned property, promote and enforce safety and security and act as a visible deterrent against irregular activity.
Duties and Responsibilities
Patrol premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of property and equipment
Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons after hours to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.
Produce reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
Call police or fire departments in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
Qualifications and Experience
At least 4 years experience in a similar role
Aged between 30 and 45 years
Candidates will be subjected to a police clearance exercise
Working knowledge of security operations and safety practices
Working knowledge of enforcement policies and procedures
Working knowledge of safety equipment
Candidates must meet physical requirements
