We are looking for a vibrant and dedicated Section Manager to join our team. Reporting to the
Estate Manager, the successful applicant will, among other key duties, be responsible for:
Key Responsibilities
• Managing the daily operations of farms producing livestock products.
• Preparing capital, revenue, and expenditure budgets, and monitoring these to ensure
operations remain within budget.
• Reviewing actual performance against stated objectives on a daily, weekly, monthly, and
annual basis.
• Recording information on production, livestock management practices, and parent stock,
and preparing financial and operational reports.
• Overseeing the efficient running, cleanliness, and upkeep of livestock enterprises to
required standards.
• Ensuring quality control of facilities, including health and safety, while adhering to best
practice guidelines and working closely with the Department of Vet Services.
• Maintaining operating equipment and infrastructure to ensure it meets applicable
standards at all times.
• Caring for and raising livestock for the production of meat and other animal products.
• Breeding and raising livestock while keeping accurate health records in accordance with
authority policies.
• Providing adequate quality and quantity of pasture and feed to maintain good animal
health.
• Drawing up budget plans and maintaining records of daily farm operations.
• Authorizing requisitions or purchases of supplies and equipment to comply with
sanitation standards.
• Supervising employees responsible for livestock production and overseeing daily
operations.
• Hiring, discharging, transferring, and promoting farm workers, while enforcing safety
regulations and implementing policies.
• Utilizing human resources effectively by training, motivating, and ensuring staff welfare
for outstanding performance.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
• Diploma/ Degree in Agriculture, Livestock Production or equivalent.
• 5 O Levels including English Language and Mathamatics.
• At least three (3) years hands on experience.
• Clean 3 Drivers Licence
